Club Lunaria

What it is

A VRChat group, a club that runs events in it, and a Discord where all of it gets organised. You cannot really separate the three. The Discord is where you find out what is on, the group is how you get in, and the club is the part you actually turn up to.

Adults only, and said up front instead of buried three clicks in, because that changes who should be clicking.

What happens there

Three different things, and the difference matters if you are deciding whether to bother turning up. Club events are the organised ones, announced ahead. Open club nights are the looser version, the floor is open and so are signups, if you want a slot you ask for one.

Then there are pop-up events, which are whatever somebody felt like running that day. Game nights in VR, game nights on desktop so not owning a headset does not lock you out, or a hangout with nothing scheduled around it at all.

It is not a venue sitting open waiting for you. Things happen because somebody runs them.

What I do

The technical side. Moth Mommy handles moderation, logging, the shop, and the boring day-to-day of keeping a server that size moving, and I am the one building it.

Building a bot for a live community is a completely different job to building one in the abstract. Whatever you ship is in front of a few hundred people that same evening, and nobody is polite about it. You find out if an idea was any good in about ten minutes, which is a lot faster than any amount of planning would have told you.
